Development of Total Investments in China: |
|
The growing presence of Swedish companies in China is reflected in Sweden's aggregate
volume of FDI investments in China. By the end of 2005, Swedish companies had realized
investments of 3.1 billion USD – an increase of 11 percent in comparison with the
previous year.

China's importance as an investment object for Swedish companies is also evidenced
by the rising revenues of Swedish investments in China, which grew to 7.9 billion
USD in 2005 – an increase of 25 percent compared to 2004.

Distribution of Investments in China – by Sector: |
|
|
|
The majority of Swedish investments in Chinas are within the industrial goods sector.
Telecom/IT companies are also accounting for a large share, not least due to intensive
investment by companies such as Ericsson and Telia.

|
|
|
Industrial goods do not only account for the largest category of Swedish investments
in China. It is also the most profitable product category in terms of revenue.
