Dear Members and Friends,
We are very pleased to have the opportunity to invite you to an interesting breakfast meeting with Knut Anton Mork at Radisson SAS Hotel Beijing. Mr. Mork is Chief Economist at Handelsbanken Norway since 1996 and holds a PhD in Economic from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). To all this Dr. Mork is a well appreciated speaker.
Dr. Mork's research has been in the areas of macroeconomics and energy economics. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to the understanding of oil price shocks and their effects on macroeconomic performance. He has also made important contributions to the research on consumption, saving and information content of preliminary economic data. His research has been published extensively in distinguished academic journals, such as the Journal of Political Economy, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Economic and Business Statistics, and The Energy Journal.
Dr. Mork has also written several textbooks in English and Norwegian and headed Norges Bank Watch for 2007.
The topic of his speech is "The global economic crisis - China no longer an Island".
