The Danish company Danfoss will outsource 45 jobs in IT-related work globally – most of which are positioned in Denmark, the group announced in a press release on September 17.
Danfoss will move the IT-related work to China, which means 35 new jobs to the Chinese.
The move will take place in 2009 and early 2010.
Danfoss puts the main reason for the move down to a general need for reducing expenditures, but the move will also strengthen flexibility within the group, mainly in areas, where IT-activity takes place outside of Denmark.
This is a continuation of a new IT-strategy launched by Danfoss in 2007.
Trade union representatives and the works council at Danfoss have both been briefed about the situation. The relevant leaders of Danfoss are now working to help affected employees, the communication from Danfoss says.
