Product Details

1. Greentech's activities cover three phases: Project development, construction of wind energy projects, and operation of wind energy projects.
2. Construction of wind energy projects refer to the projects, which are in the process of being constructed.
3. The construction phase includes preparation of infrastructure, foundations, electrical work, and erection of the wind turbines.
4. These projects have either been developed by Greentech from the greenfield stage or acquired.
5. The projects included by the construction phase have to go through two steps in order to be fully operational.
6. Construction
* This phase includes: engineering design and construction management work;
* Earthwork and civil engineering (including preparation of the foundations for the turbine masts and preparing the access roads);
* The electrical work (i.e. laying the necessary cabling and installation of the transformer station to access the local electrical grid);
* And, finally, the installation of the technical components of the wind energy projects (i.e. the masts, turbines and rotor blades).
7. Operation
* Following completion of construction, the wind energy project is commissioned into operation and will be operated by an operation and maintenance subcontractor, often the manufacturer of the turbines.
* The life of a wind energy project is generally assumed to be 20 years, in accordance with the expected useful life of a turbine.
