Product Details
Verner Panton
●The Danish artist and designer Verner Panton (1926 - 1998) has enjoyed a renaissance in the past few years. An advocate for free and outspoken "pace-age" living throughout the 1960's and 1970's, Verner Panton's designs in both lightning and furniture has stuck a cord in contemporary interior living. The Relaxer Rocking Chair. ●In collaboration with the Verner Panton estate, Hothouse Design has re-released one of Panton's more tantalizing seating objects "The Relaxer Lounge Chai". In one sweeping curve, Panton has accentuated the art of seating which is ergonomically fit to any body size and posture. It was originally designed in 1974 for Rosenthal Studioline and produced in Germany. Due to the relatively small numbers produced then, the Panton Relaxer chair has turned into a highly collectible object for vintage design aficionados and collectors. Frame ●The relaxer frame can be ordered in 3 versions: A. Natural oak with polyurethane lacquer B. Brown stained oak with polyurethane lacquer C. Black painted version with wooden grain slightly visible in paint. ●All frames are made of solid, sustainable Russian oak. Cushion ●The inner core of the cushion is made from a PU Foam, which has similar features as natural Latex. This ensures a very comfortable seat which shapes with the contours of the body. In other words a chair you can sit in for hours. Fabric upholstery ●Kvadrat from Denmark has been chosen as one of the suppliers of the fabrics for the Relaxer Chair. Leather ●We have found a top grain aniline leather (between 1,3-1,5 mm.), with a very soft touch to it. We offer two colors; black and brown. Packing info ●The chairs are packed in double cardboard boxes with Styrofoam protector-caps attached directly on the wooden part. The cushion is attached on the back in plastic bags. Boxes are marked with what type of chair is inside. 108 pcs equal a 40' Container. ●Alternatively, without crating the chairs in boxes, they fit into a 20' container; which means that the boxes goes flat on top of the Relaxers and the client has to box them themselves upon or after arrival.
